GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION

In effect of May 25th, 2018, the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016 (GDPR) will replace the UK’s Data Protection Act 1998 in order to provide more accessible privacy information. This law regulates the collection, usage and sharing of personal information, to provide more effective control and rights over how an individuals information is handled.

Presented within the relevant documents, policies and procedures below, the information outlines the role of the school as a data controller handling personal information with compliance set out within GDPR in respect to pupils, parents, staff, governors, and volunteers.
